DOGS

REQUIRED VACCINATIONS FOR DOGS

  • RABIES - Given first as a puppy (at least 12 weeks old), again 1 year later, then every 3 years.
  • DHPP or DA2PPV - Combination vaccine 4 in 1 - Canine distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza. Given as a series approximately 8, 12, and 16 weeks old, again 1 year later, then every 3 years.
  • BORDATELLA (Canine Cough). BORDATELLA VACCINATION IS REQUIRED FOR DOGS BOARDING AT ALL KENNELS IN NYC. Given within 6-months of boarding date. Click here for info about Bordatella.

OPTIONAL VACCINATIONS FOR DOGS

  • Lyme disease Leptospirosis

CATS

REQUIRED VACCINATIONS FOR CATS

  • RABIES - Given first as a kitten (at least 12 weeks old), again 1 year later, then every 3 years.
  • FVRCP - Combination vaccine 3 in 1 - Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and paleukopenia. Given as a series approximately 8, 12, and 16 weeks old, again 1 year later, then every 3 years.

OPTIONAL VACCINATIONS FOR CATS

  • FELINE LEUKEMIA - Recommended if cat goes outside (backyards, etc.) where there is potential for contact with unknown cats.
